Hi, my name is Brandie and I am responsible for Social Communications for a few charities, some as a volunteer, and as part of my job as a Web & Graphics Coordinator where my day can vary from collecting information to post on our websites and SM platforms, to creating posters.
Part of my responsibilities is to stay on top of trends, and keep tabs on "what's new" out there in the social media world, and to see if it's worth exploring either as a permanent platform, or better for the short term with a specific event or disasters.
A lot of my work is very solitary, so I am excited to share ideas with others in a similar field, learn some best practices, and just basically expand my understanding of how to reach and connect better with the audiences I'm trying to attract.
